Everyone seems to be chasing money, titles, and recognition, but in that process, we often end up losing our health, peace of mind, and precious moments of life. At some point, we must pause and reflect: Are we truly balancing our work and our life?

India, on the other hand, had its own emerging heroes: Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Mohinder Amarnath, Roger Binny, Yashpal Sharma, Syed Kirmani, and Madan Lal. Among them, Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaskar were the most celebrated. After the 1983 World Cup, the world began to respect Indian cricket — but the true golden era was still to come.

Then came a 16-year-old boy who would redefine the sport forever.

In 1989, a young Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar made his Test debut against Pakistan. He scored only 15 runs, but those who watched him could already sense greatness in the making. No one could have predicted that this teenager would go on to become one of the greatest cricketers in history — a man whose name will be remembered for centuries.

Today, Sachin is more than just a cricketer. He is a symbol of excellence and dedication. Known by many names — the God of Cricket, Master Blaster, Little Master, Tendlya, and Sachin Paaji — he captured the hearts of not just Indian fans, but cricket lovers around the globe. People didn’t just watch cricket; they watched Sachin play cricket.

Sachin revolutionized the game. He brought new strokes into play, mastered every format, and faced the world’s most fearsome bowlers at a time when bowling attacks were at their strongest. His cover drives, straight drives, and flicks became a joy to watch — poetry in motion.

He was not only a role model for the next generation of cricketers but also had his own idols. He admired Sir Donald Bradman, Viv Richards, Sunil Gavaskar, and even tennis legend John McEnroe. Bradman, in fact, once said that Sachin’s batting reminded him of his own — the highest possible compliment a batsman can receive.

Viv Richards' fearless style of play deeply inspired Sachin. Watching Sunil Gavaskar on TV as a child, Sachin dreamt of wearing the Indian jersey one day. He also drew motivation from John McEnroe's fiery attitude on the tennis court.

Yet, the start was humble — he was dismissed for a duck in his first ODI match against Pakistan. But that was only the beginning.
