Questions
What does “Whole word only” do?
It matches the word only when it stands on its own. With it on, finding “Madras” will not change “Madraspattinam”.
Can I use regular expressions?
Yes. Tick “Regular expression” to use JavaScript regex patterns. In the replacement, $1, $2 … insert captured groups and $& inserts the whole match.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The search and replace happens entirely in your browser.
