Questions
What are the current GST rates?
Since 22 September 2025 (GST 2.0), most goods and services fall under three rates: 5%, 18% and 40%. Gold and jewellery use 3%. The old 12% and 28% slabs were mostly removed — they are kept here for older invoices.
How is GST split?
For sales within a state, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. For sales between states it is charged as IGST.
How do I remove GST from a price?
Base price = Inclusive price ÷ (1 + GST rate). The difference is the GST amount.
