Questions
How do I reduce a photo to under 50 KB or 20 KB for a government form?
Choose “Target file size” and pick 50 KB or 20 KB (or type your own). The tool tries different JPG quality levels and, if needed, slightly smaller dimensions until the file fits. Many exam forms (SSC, banking and others) ask for a photo of roughly 20–50 KB and a signature of 10–20 KB — always check the exact limits in your notification.
Is 1 KB 1,000 or 1,024 bytes?
Portals differ, so the tool aims below the target counted as 1,000 bytes per KB. A file shown as “under 50 KB” here is then under the limit either way.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is opened and processed on a canvas inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server, so it works even offline once the page has loaded.
