Questions

How many litres are in one cubic metre?

1 m³ = 1,000 litres, 1 litre = 1,000 cm³ and 1 cubic foot ≈ 28.32 litres.

How do I find the capacity of a cylindrical water tank?

Volume = π × r² × h. A tank with a 50 cm radius (1 m across) and 1 m height holds π × 50² × 100 = 7,85,398 cm³ ≈ 785 litres.

What is the volume of a cone and a sphere?

Cone = ⅓ × π × r² × h, sphere = 4/3 × π × r³ and hemisphere = 2/3 × π × r³.
