Questions
Is Base64 encryption?
No. Base64 only changes how data is written so it can travel safely as text. Anyone can decode it, so never use it to hide passwords.
Does it handle Hindi, Tamil and emoji?
Yes. Text is converted to UTF-8 bytes before encoding, so any language and emoji decode back exactly.
What is URL-safe Base64?
A variant that uses - and _ instead of + and / and drops the = padding, so the result can be used in URLs, file names and JWTs.
