Questions
Does it handle commas inside values?
Yes. Values wrapped in double quotes may contain commas, line breaks and quotes (written as two double quotes ""), following the CSV standard RFC 4180.
My Excel CSV uses semicolons — will it work?
Yes. Excel in many regional settings saves CSV with semicolons; Auto-detect picks comma, semicolon, tab or pipe by checking which one splits the rows consistently.
Why do some numbers stay as text?
Values with leading zeros, such as PIN codes like 007 or phone numbers starting with 0, are kept as text so the zeros aren't lost. Untick “Convert numbers” to keep every value as text.
