Questions
Will minifying break my code?
The minifier only removes comments and unnecessary whitespace; it keeps line breaks where JavaScript's automatic semicolon insertion could change the meaning. It does not rename variables, so the result is safe but less aggressive than build tools like Terser or esbuild.
Is my code uploaded?
No. Formatting runs entirely in your browser, so private code stays on your device.
Why keep short elements on one line?
Elements that contain only text and inline tags, like <p>Hello <b>world</b></p>, stay on one line because adding line breaks inside text can add visible spaces to the page.
